A few significant changes are in store for the Utah Legislature.

This summer, Governor Spencer J.Cox was elected chair of the National Governor’s Association (NGA), and Governor Jared Polis (Colorado) was elected as vice-chair. The Chairs launched their initiated for their term: Disagree Better.

To fill Congressman Stewarts seat as quickly and efficiently as possible, the Governor, Lt. Governor and Legislature have agreed to hold a special election in Congressional District 2 (CD2).

Lawmakers met for the first interim of 2023 to discuss key issues facing the state and begin exploring areas of opportunity.
